Because GAD is triggered by worrying about everyday things like health and money then it would make sense to pursue courses of action that will lead to better health or finances. So why not try exercising as this can relieve built up tension. The healthy and fitter you feel the less likely you are to worry excessively about your health. The same goes for your diet. If you are eating junk then that isn’t doing anything to help you either. Learn about diet and healthy eating. Seeking help with financial planning might help you to feel more secure about your financial situation and less prone to worrying about it.
Taking positive action to improve you diet and finances will give you less to be anxious about and will help support you in any generalized anxiety treatment that you decide to participate in.
