You need to remember that when you experience these symptoms they occur as a symptom of your anxiety. They are not caused by some medical condition that you don't yet know about.
It's probably best to think of these symptoms as sensations as the word "symptom" is used by doctors to describe the effects of an illness. Anxiety is not an illness. Anxiety and panic attacks are behavioural conditions that have some pretty unpleasant sensations associated with them. But these aren't in any way connected to an as yet undiagnosed disease. They are just sensations of fear. Nothing else.
Every part of your body is filled with nerve endings. These can all become over stimulated by nerve impulses during a panic attack and this causes the strange sensations. Panic and anxiety symptoms can be experienced in any part of your body. So just because you experience something that is not in the list of symptoms above it doesn't mean that there is something else wrong with you.
All panic attacks symptoms are caused by an area of the brain called the Amygdala. This behave likes an on/off switch that controls anxiety levels. When you experience a panic attack it gets stuck in the on position. This is what is responsible for every single one of your anxiety symptoms.
You can learn how to control this on/off switch so that it stays OFF by using either of the Panic Away or The Linden Method self help programs.
Once panic attacks symptoms have subsided you may still feel tired and shaky. This is normal so don't let this worry you.
